• Approximate Location (Network) — Used as a fallback when GPS is unavailable.
• Google Places API — Used to allow you to search and select a location manually for prayer times.

Your location data is stored only on your device in local preferences. It is never transmitted to any external server or third party.

The App stores your preferences locally on your device, including:

• Language preference (Arabic or English)
• Display settings (font sizes, colors, themes)
• Notification preferences and schedules
• Prayer time calculation method
• Hijri calendar adjustments
• Favorite wisdoms and bookmarks
• Share text customization settings

This data is stored locally using Android SharedPreferences and SQLite databases. None of this data leaves your device.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not require user registration or account creation
• We do not use analytics or tracking tools
• We do not collect usage statistics or behavioral data
• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or files
• We do not display advertisements or use advertising SDKs

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited data we store on your device is used exclusively to:

• Calculate Islamic prayer times based on your location
• Display the app in your preferred language
• Apply your chosen visual themes and display settings
• Send local notifications with wisdom quotes at your chosen times
• Remember your favorite items and bookmarks
• Customize shared text format when you share content

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Android's built-in storage mechanisms:

• SharedPreferences — For user settings and preferences
• SQLite Databases — For Islamic content (wisdom, prayers, Quran text) and favorites

Your data is protected by the standard security mechanisms provided by the Android operating system. When you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is automatically deleted.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

• Google Places API — Used to provide location search and autocomplete functionality for prayer time settings. When you search for a location, your search query is sent to Google's servers. Google's privacy policy applies to this interaction: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The App does not integrate any advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or social media SDKs.

6. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

• INTERNET — Required for the Google Places location search feature
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION — To get precise GPS coordinates for prayer time calculation
• ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — To get approximate location when GPS is unavailable
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To send scheduled wisdom and prayer time notifications
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — To restore notification alarms after device restart

All permissions are optional. The app functions without location access by using a default location (Mecca). Notifications can be disabled in the app settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The City of Wisdom is an educational app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users. Since the app does not collect personal data, no special measures regarding children's data are necessary.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The only external data transmission occurs when you use the location search feature, which communicates with Google Places API as described in Section 5.

When you use the app's share feature to share wisdom quotes, the content is shared through your device's standard sharing mechanism to the app of your choice. We have no access to or control over this shared content.

9. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

• Access: Your settings are visible within the app
• Modification: You can change any setting at any time through the app
• Deletion: You can clear app data through Android settings or uninstall the app to remove all data
• Location: You can revoke location permissions at any time through Android settings
