الشَّهَوَاتُ آفَاتٌ
Lustful desires are diseases

الشَّهَوَاتُ آفَاتٌ قَاتِلَاتٌ وَخَيْرُ دَوَائِهَا اقْتِنَاءُ الصَّبْرِ عَنْهَا
Lustful desires are fatal diseases, and the best cure for them is acquiring patience against them

مَنْ تَسَرَّعَ إِلَى الشَّهَوَاتِ تَسَرَّعَ إِلَيْهِ الْآفَاتُ
Whoever hastens towards lustful desires, afflictions rush towards him

مُدْمِنُ الشَّهَوَاتِ صَرِيعُ الْآفَاتِ
One who makes a habit of following [his] lustful desires is overwhelmed by afflictions, is associated with evils and has certainty about the permanence [of this world]
